IUGA Office Move Update
As was discussed in this year’s IUGA Annual Business Meeting and over the past years, the Board and Executive Director have been making plans to move IUGA’s business operations to Washington, D.C. There are several reasons that served as the motivation for the move including being closer to organizations IUGA relates to closely and being located in what is considered a world hub for international associations. The move will be taking place starting over the week of August 5, with Friday, August 9 being the last day that the Ft. Lauderdale office will be open. Operations in the D.C. office will officially commence on Monday, August 12. The move has been carefully planned and it is expected that there will be minimal service interruptions. The IUGA web site and e-mail will be fully functioning throughout the move process, although it may take staff a bit longer to respond. However, on Friday, August 9th late afternoon the phone system will be shut down. We will have it operational by August 12th later in the afternoon. While orders can still be placed for patient education items through the online store, there will be no shipments between August 6-14.
