The 37th Meeting of the International Urogynecology Association (IUGA) was held at the Brisbane Convention Centre in Brisbane, Australia from the 4th to the 8th of September, 2012 was a success. 1300 delegates from all over the world attended the Annual Meeting.
The 36th Meeting of the International Urogynecology Association (IUGA) held at the Congress Centre in Lisbon, Portugal from 28th to the 2nd of July, 2011 was a resounding success. 1900 delegates from all over the world attended the Annual Meeting. Teresa Mascarenhas and her local organizing committee along with the IUGA Executive committee Harry Vervest - IUGA president, Willy G. Davila - vice-president, Peter K. Sand - past President, and Søren Brostrøm - secretary-treasurer must be congratulated for providing an excellent scientific program, enjoyable social events as well as a great and friendly atmosphere.
The 35th Annual Meeting was a joint meeting with ICS in Toronto, Canada from August 23 - 27 2010. Chairmen: Harold P. Drutz, Sender Herschorn. It was a monumental sucess with over 3500 attendees from 79 countries. More importantly, it was an academic success with some of the best science we have ever seen.
The 34th Annual Meeting was held at the Villa Erba in Como, Italy June 15-16, 2009 with Stefano Salvatore as the chair of the meeting. It had many highlights, as all in attendance would be able to list their most memorable presentation, social event, or pre, post or maybe even intra-congress tour.
The 33rd Annual Meeting was held in Taipei, Taiwan from Sept 13 - 17, 2008 with Charles Su as the chair of the meeting. The meeting was highlighted by multiple interesting and stimulating presentations. Highlights of the meeting included a very interesting presentation on Accupunture in Chinese Medicine as it pertains to the Pelivc Floor by Dr. Chia-Jung Hsieh from Taiwan. Dr. Harold Drutz then placed this in the perspective of the care of woomen with pelvic floor dysfunction.
The 31st Annual Meeting was held in Athens, Greece from Sept 12 - 16 2006.
