2015 Meeting Location Announcement
Nice, France
June 9-13

As you may recall, ICS made a decision at the end of August not to move forward with the planned IUGA-ICS 2015 joint meeting in Lyon, France. In keeping with the membership’s decision to have the meeting in France, IUGA evaluated proposals from several meeting venues in France, including Lyon, and is happy to announce the 2015 IUGA Annual Meeting will take place in breathtaking Nice, France from June 9-13 at the Nice Acropolis.  The meeting will be held in partnership with the European Urogynaecological Association (EUGA). IUGA is very pleased that Dr. Brigitte Fatton and Dr. Emmanuel Chartier-Kastler have decided to remain as the congress co-chairs. More information about the meeting will be forthcoming and will be posted on the IUGA web site when it’s available at http://www.iuga.org/?2015meeting.   IUGA is looking forward to an exciting meeting with its European and French partners!

Vote for Aparna Hegde for the Trail Blazer Award

IUGA has just learned that one of our own has been nominated for a significant global prize related to innovative uses of technology.  Aparna Hegde, who just recently finished an IUGA Fellowship, founded an NGO a few years ago and it has established a couple of programs that use technology in innovative ways.  This has been recognized by id-world-magazine.com and Aparna has been nominated as a finalist for the Trail Blazer Award, which will be presented at the ID International People Awards, Frankfurt 2013.

Members may recognize Aparna's name as the presenter of several papers at the recent annual meeting in Dublin.  The NGO she has created is called ARMMAN and on its website: www.armman.org, you can find descriptions of the HERO and mMitra projects which are at the core of her nomination.

If you would like to vote to support her nomination, please go to: http://www.id-world-magazine.com/form/?page_id=295 and scroll down to 'Trail Blazer Award'.  You have until October 15 to cast your vote.

Please feel free to share this good news and opportunity for involvement with your friends and colleagues.

IUGA would like to wish Aparna the best of luck and hopes that she will be the winner of the Trail Blazer Award!
