Publication ready manuscripts for the awards
In order to be considered for a best oral paper (podium only) award, a publication-ready manuscript must be submitted to office@iuga.org  by Monday, May 19th, 2014 by 11:59 PM EDT. To see the time difference between your local time and that time, please consult: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/. Please include your presentation number in the subject line of your e-mail. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Maureen Hodgson at Maureen@iuga.org.

Pre-order patient education items for pick-up at the meeting
If you’ve been hesitating to order IUGA’s patient education items because of shipping costs, now is your chance to purchase them. Order items for pick-up at the meeting from our online store through July 7th and avoid hefty shipping fees. IUGA now has 28 patient brochures available with translations in various languages, illustration pads, posters and more. IUGA’s most popular item, the Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Anatomical & Surgical Chart, an 8.5 x 14” full color chart and stand containing many of the surgical and anatomical images used in the popular IUGA patient leaflets, is selling out fast so make sure you reserve your copy.  For more information and to place your order, please click here.

New this year! Late Breaking News Abstracts
Late-breaking abstract submissions are intended to allow for the timely presentation of high impact trials to AUGS-IUGA meeting attendees. It is expected that these abstract submissions are from studies for which no preliminary data was available at the time of the abstract submission deadline (February 3, 2014).

This meeting feature is not a mechanism to update previously submitted preliminary data or to provide an opportunity for previously rejected abstracts to be revised and resubmitted for consideration. The link to submit these abstracts through the OASIS system is available through June 2nd at 11:59 PM. Please click here for more information. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Maureen Hodgson at Maureen@iuga.org.

Volunteers needed for social media team
IUGA is seeking volunteers to help with posting photos, videos and other content to its facebook page from the meeting in D.C. This fun, short-term project should prove to be an interesting way to keep IUGA’s facebook followers engaged during the meeting. If you are interested in assisting with this project, please contact Amy Cassini, Membership Manager, at amy@iuga.org.

2018 Annual Meeting Request for Proposals (RFP) now available online
The 2018 annual meeting RFP is now available to download from the IUGA web site. Proposals are due to the IUGA office by June 20, 2014. Please click here for more information.

2nd International Day to End Obstetric Fistula
On May 23, the United Nations, Member States, partners of the Campaign to End Fistula and others will mark International Day to End Obstetric Fistula by raising awareness around the world about this dreadful condition. The International Day is also a great opportunity each year to generate new support and speed up the efforts of the Campaign to End Fistula, which are urgently needed to address this severely neglected health and human rights tragedy. For more information about the Campaign to End Fistula, please visit www.endfistula.org/public/pid/7431.
